On April 7, 2025, Prosecutor Harrington attended the 2024 Top Cop Awards sponsored by Drive Sober, Inc. The event recognized area police officers who made at least 20 arrests for Operating While Intoxicated and for their commitment to keeping Tippecanoe County roads and highways safe from impaired drivers. One of these officers, Deputy Carolina Venegas, of the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Department pictured above with Prosecutor Harrington and Sheriff Goldsmith made 35 OWI arrests in 2024, which is the highest number for a female officer in Tippecanoe County. Dep. Venegas previously worked in the Tippecanoe County Prosecutor’s Office as a Victim Advocate where she met with victims of impaired drivers.
