Meet Roger

K9 Roger, a yellow Labrador Retriever, is a certified Electronic Storage Detection K9 (ESD K9). He is employed by the Tippecanoe County Prosecutor’s Office and the Tippecanoe County High-Tech Crimes Unit.
K9 Roger is a member of the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. K9 Roger’s training consisted of several hundred hours of scent discrimination, pinpoint accuracy, open-area searches, and realistic scenario-based training. He recertifies with Jordan Detection K9 each year. You can see their website here.
K9 Roger Alerts on the odor emitted from the chemical sprayed on microchips in electronic storage devices. Such devices include, but are not limited to: cell phones, iPads/tablets, game consoles, hard drives, flash/thumb drives, SIM cards (both in and out of phones), SD and micro-SD cards (in and out of cameras), hidden cameras, air tags/tiles, and microchips imbedded in many credit cards.
ESD K9s can and have detected hidden storage devices in many unassuming places such as buried in the ground, in a hollowed out false coin, inside smoke detectors, behind, walls, inside ceilings, behind outlet faceplates, and inside furniture.
