October is Infant Safe Sleep Awareness Month. Please see the attached flyers provided by the Indiana Department of Health for guidance on safe sleep practices. Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID) is a leading cause of infant deaths in the state of Indiana. Most of these deaths happen during sleep times. The Indiana Safe Sleep Program seeks to assist infant caregivers by educating them on safe sleep practices.
