Tippecanoe County Prosecutor's Office

The Tippecanoe County Prosecutor’s Office is made up of a team of deputy attorneys, legal assistants, investigators, interns and support staff. Each team member with their own goals and responsibilities to help operations run smoothly.

Our Prosecutor – Meet Prosecutor Patrick Harrington and his contributions to the community of Tippecanoe and his work in delivering justice in service of those in need.

Adult Protection – APS or Adult Protective Services investigates neglect, self-neglect, battery, and exploitation in anyone who may be an endangered adult as defined by Indiana statute 12-10-3-2. in Tippecanoe County and the surrounding seven counties. APS is under the direct supervision of the Tippecanoe County Prosecutor.

Child Support – This unit works to recover over $1,000,000 a month in back child support for families in Tippecanoe County.

Felony Intake – Felony Intake Unit determines the status of all significant felony arrests (F1-F5), such as murder, armed robbery, gun crimes, rape, aggravated assaults, drugs, child molestation, human trafficking — approximately 1300 warrant and investigative prosecutor subpoenas annually.

Investigations – The Investigations Unit invludes the investigators assigned to the High Tech Crime Unit, Domestic Violence Unit, and Juvenile Crime.

Major Crime (Murder, F1, F2, F3, F4, F5) – The Major Crime Unit handles all major felony cases

Multi-Agency Task Force – The Tippecanoe County Drug Task Force is a multi-agency narcotics unit administered by the TC Prosecutor. Comprised of sworn law enforcement officers from Lafayette P.D., West Lafayette P.D., Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police, Purdue University P.D., and the TC Prosecutor’s Office. The main objective is to control and suppress illegal controlled substances to and from Tippecanoe County by working with all local, state, and federal agencies.

Sex Crimes/ Crimes against Children – Crimes against children include physical and emotional abuse; neglect; and exploitation, such as through child pornography or sex trafficking of minors.

High Tech Crime Unit – Our High Tech Crime Unit is a proud addition to our team as our society moves into a more technologically advanced era.

K9 Roger – Roger the K9 investigator is our mascot as he assists in investigations and livens things up around the office
